What are these called?

Is my business too small to benefit from a website?

Aren't my products or services the kind that don't sell over the internet?

Possibly....though, pretty unlikely. The widest range of services and products are being sold successfully over the internet. Our market research phase will give a clear steer on this.

Isn't collecting customer payments over the internet unreliable?

No. There are a number of well established, and secure, services which can be integrated into your site to enable your customers to pay online - from PayPal to electronic merchant accounts. We will advise you on the most appropriate, and most cost effective option.

Will my customers be happy to pay over the internet?

The internet has become the buying medium of choice for millions of customers. Think of ebay and Amazon! Online payment processes have also become more secure. If you have the products or services people want, and you sell them effectively through your website, then customers will buy online.

Do you only develop websites for businesses? I'm in the voluntary/public sector - what can you do for me?

We also develop websites for the public sector, including community based websites (see an example). We will apply the same development framework to these as to business related sites - researching the needs of the client base, and using best practice from other public sector web presences.

What if your market research shows that the internet isn't the right sales medium for my business?

If that's what the research clearly shows, then we will advise you to save your money and invest it in more appropriate marketing and sales vehicles.

How will I keep the site updated and fresh once it's developed? Won't I be trapped into never ending costs?

Your website could become your customers most important window on your business - so keeping it up to date, and fresh is very important. We will advise on the most cost effective ways of doing this e.g. if you already produce regular printed catalogue and price updates, then we'll enable you to use electronic versions on your website.

£295 or more is a lot of money? Is it really worth spending this on a website?

You will need to weigh this against the potential benefits revealed by the market research. How many additional sales will you need to offset the payment and start generating additional profits? You will probably find that the investment will very quickly pay for itself.
