Lying behind a 1920s bungalow my small suburban garden is entered through a gate made from garden tools, and down an unpromising gennel. The garden is best described as quirky with an emphasis on recycling, water harvesting, composting and home food production. But that's not all as I have a large variety of shrubs and perennials, make all my own hanging baskets, and grow annuals for summer colour. You will find the quirky elements in my various junk sculptures and two topiary beasts, a caterpillar and a juvenile ostrich. And you will find chickens at the bottom of the garden.
